Beer Events in Mendocino
Mendocino loves its craft beer, and locals and tourists alike can enjoy it all throughout the year with special events and festivals. Here are two of our favorites you should plan to attend!
Boonville Beer Festival
The legendary Boonville Beer Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that you must try at least once! Each year in the early spring, relax and have fun at the biggest beer festival in Northern California! Anderson Valley Brewing is your host for the day as you hop from one brewer’s tent to the other (there are over 80!) and listen to live music. Boonville, CA, is in the southwest of Ukiah in Mendocino County, and counts roughly 1,000 residents on a daily basis; but during the festival, it turns into 6,000 beer enthusiasts! The best part about that festival is its authenticity and originality; it even has its own language: Boontling! Some terms include bahlest (excellent), bahl hornin’ (cheers), frattery (vineyard), gorm (food, to eat), kimmie (man), mink (woman), and many more you can discover once you’re there!
Tickets go on sale in March of every year, so we highly recommend you buy them online if you want to avoid paying more at the gate!
